NETHERLANDS LAUNCHES VACCINATION PROGRAM FOR SEAFARERS
The Netherlands launches its vaccination program for seafarers in mid-June.
Qualified for the program are all seafarers working ongoing vessels plying under the Dutch flag or managed by The Netherlands.
A tailor-made vaccination program for the seafarers was established under the direction of the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, coordinated by the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowner or KVNR.
And in close consultation with the Dutch government, Dutch Association of Dredging Companies, Dutch branch of the Pelagic Freezer-trawler Association and trade union Nautilus International.
KVNR managing director Annet Koster says, the shipowners are grateful with the Dutch Government for recognizing the need to vaccinate seafarers through a tailor-made program.
