By the COO himself: LIBERIA LEADS THE COVID 19 ALERT
The Chief Operating Officer of the Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry (LISCR) assures seafarers, clients and team members of updates on the ever-changing situation surrounding the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Alfonso Castillero commits to everyone that LISCR is doing the utmost to maintain business practices as usual across the world and around the clock, to support the seafarers, vessels, and owners/operators/managers of the Liberian flagged fleet.
Castillero says, “It is in times like these that shipping rises to the top and provides for the world. With over 90% of the world’s goods transported by ship, it is imperative that this supply chain continues to function without interruption. We are doing our part, however small it may be, to ensure your ships continue to sail as safely and efficiently as possible. The equipment, materials, and supplies that the world relies on are carried on your vessels.”
LISCR has already issued guidance on its implementation of Marine Advisories 04, 07, 08, 10 and 11/2020, a gesture of unquestioned cooperation with government regulatory authorities.
Complex but ready.
The Liberian Registry is not one single office, but dedicated teams working across continents and time zones. Each adjusts to its own situations as governments dictate, but with a full contingency plan to keep themselves healthy and fully functional.
The teams are operational across Asia, in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. Points of contact for the global offices are in the LISRC website.
Any closing and documentary submission to the Registry remains unimpeded, with contingency measures enacted to ensure no disruption in these closings, mortgage recordation, and submissions of documents necessary in to the Ship and Corporate Registry.
To reiterate personal concern, Castillero wants “…to reassure you that anything you need from the Registry, please just contact either myself or our network of global offices at any time. We will work together to ensure you continue to receive nothing but the utmost service in the usual timely and efficient manner…”
This way, the CEO believes ships can continue to provide the essential goods and cargoes that the world economy so greatly relies.
